Scholarship Program Guidelines
- Scholarships are awarded in an objective and nondiscriminatory manner.
Donors may not direct or earmark contributions for a specific recipient. - Scholarships are not available to officers, directors, members of the selection committee, substantial contributors, or their relatives.
- Scholarship applications are reviewed by a selection committee consisting of members of the Board of Directors.
- Any committee member with a conflict of interest involving an applicant will not participate in reviewing or selecting that applicant.
- Scholarship funds must be used for approved educational purposes.
Award Criteria
Scholarship recipients are selected using objective and nondiscriminatory criteria. Factors may include financial need, academic performance, educational goals, commitment to completing the proposed course of study or training, and other relevant circumstances.
Applicants must be seeking educational or vocational training and must provide sufficient information for the organization to determine eligibility.
The number and amount of scholarships awarded each year will depend on available funds, the number of qualified applicants, and the educational needs of applicants. No fixed number or amount of awards is guaranteed.
The program is open to qualifying students in the United States and is not limited to a particular school, employer, family, geographic area, or other preselected group.
